Exhibition statement / Our purpose

Look again.
There’s a whole
world in a head.

A face is instantly familiar. What happens when its surface is made from the things we collect, discard, treasure, or forget?

01

See the overlooked.

A button, a bead, a small metal fragment: objects that might pass unnoticed become the substance of a face. The collection asks what changes when we give ordinary things our full attention.

02

Hold more than one meaning.

Beauty and discomfort, humour and vulnerability, memory and reinvention sit alongside one another. These heads invite a second reading, and leave room for a different one.

03

Make room for looking.

The purpose of this exhibition is simple: to give each work the space to be encountered. Stay with a surface, follow an unexpected detail, and let your own associations become part of the experience.

The exhibition

Fifteen heads.
No single story.

Head Spaces brings together questions of identity, cultural memory, performance, and the environment. The works share a form, but each sets its own train of thought in motion.
